 Boot Camp
  • Boot Camps are designed to build strength and fitness through a variety of intense group intervals over a one-hour period of time.  

  • Boot Camps promote fat loss, camaraderie and team effort, they are designed to push you a little bit further than you would normally push yourself. 

  • Boot Camps are a full body workout that not only builds your muscles but torches your fat as well!  

  • One hour of Boot Camp amps up your metabolism for the next 48 hours making you a fat burning machine! 

 

Pilates Fusion

  • A series of exercises designed to help with strength, flexibility, coordination, and balance using props including the physio ball, balance ball and various bands.
  • Pilates Fusion focuses on the “core” which includes the abdominals, lower back, hips and legs. 
  • Pilates Fusion is a full body workout that will help strengthen the muscles you use in everyday activities. 
  • You will find that some of the moves are more difficult, but each move needs to be done with concentration and awareness of breath. 

Pilates Fusion is for all levels and will have modifications for people who need them. 

 

 

Yolates
  • Yolates is a great combination of the core work in Pilates and the strength and flexibility of Yoga. 
  • Yolates will focus on strengthening the muscles through controlled movements that are either held for a longer period of time or that flow to increase your heart rate, it will also focus on flexibility and control. 
  • You will work all muscles of the body using your own body weight, a band or sometimes a small weight.

Zumba®

John Bill

 

John is 28 years old, born and raised in Syracuse, where he played baseball, basketball and football throughout High School.  John went on to play Junior College Baseball before transferring to Cortland where he received a Bachelors degree in Physical Education.  John was a part time teacher and Coach (modified basketball and little league baseball) in Syracuse for three years before moving to Malta in 2011 with his fiancé.  John has been involved in the Health and Fitness field for nine years and enjoys every aspect especially helping others achieve their goals!

Aimee is a middle school Spanish teacher and lacrosse coach who has a passion for exercise and nutrition.  Aimee has played sports her whole life focusing on lacrosse in college.  When she was in college she began to have back problems and decided to try Pilates since she had heard a lot about its benefits.  Aimee not only found that her back spasms stopped, but she lost weight and changed the way her body was shaped forever.  After college Aimee worked at a gym in Massachusetts and decided to get certified in Pilates.  She has been training clients and teaching classes since.  Aimee also began practicing Yoga and has enjoyed teaching both for 12 years now.

Jalena has her degree in dance and movement from Dean college as well as studying in NYC with the Alvin Aliey Dance Company.  She has been trained in classical ballet and modern dance for the past 20 years.  Jalena has been instructing ballet, modern, and jazz to students of all ages for the past 10 years.  She lives in Malta with her husband and works at the Sanctuary Salon of Saratoga as a licensed cosmetologist and is now teaching fitness classes.  She loves to dance but noticed how much fitness has had an impact on not only her lifestyle but her dancing.  Jalena now instructs incorporating dance and fitness together.

Erin is certified to teach Music Education K-12.   Music has always been a big part Erin’s life, Erin has always incorporated dance in to her life for "fun" as well.  From tap and jazz as a child to cheerleading at the high school and college level, Erin took for granted the fitness aspect that came along with dance.  Once Erin started teaching, she began to realize the importance of movement through music to stimulate the brain.  Dance has always been incorporated into any general music class Erin has taught and it's a big hit at any age level including special education.

A few years after college Erin realized she was not exercising regularly anymore and signed up for an adult Hip Hop Dance class with a few friends.  It was tons of fun but not enough of the aerobic workout that she was looking for.  Then she found ZUMBA!  And now looks forward to working out!

Erin remarks, “Zumba is a latin inspired dance fitness program with a party-like atmosphere.  It is so much fun that you will not even realize how hard you are actually working out!   No dance experience is required! Just come and follow me!  It's easy!”

Jane has a BS Degree in Food and Nutrition, and an MS in Health Education.  Jane has been teaching Health and Family and Consumer Sciences to middle and high school students for 10 years.  Jane is also experienced in teaching Zumba and Zumba In The Circuit for over a year.  Jane is CPR/AED Certified and has been a fitness and nutrition enthusiast for 35 years!
